Our Materials

Transparency matters.

I want you to feel confident and informed about what you're wearing. That’s why I personally test every type of hardware before ever including it in a product. If it doesn’t meet my standards, it doesn’t get released. Simple as that.

Still, everyone’s skin and preferences are different. So to help you make the best choice for yourself, I’ve outlined the materials I use below. That way, you know exactly what you’re buying and can form your own opinion.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is a core material in my designs because it’s strong, reliable, and made to last. It’s naturally resistant to tarnishing, corrosion, and wear, making it perfect for everyday jewelry. It’s also hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin. If you’re looking for durability and low maintenance with a clean, modern look, stainless steel is always a safe choice.

Gold-plated Stainless Steel

Gold-plated stainless steel combines durability with a refined, golden finish. The process involves applying a thin layer of real gold onto stainless steel through electroplating. This gives the jewelry the appearance of solid gold while keeping it more affordable and sturdy for everyday use.

The stainless steel base adds strength and corrosion resistance, while the gold plating brings warmth and elegance. I always test-wear pieces to make sure the gold holds up well under regular use.

Over time, as with all plated materials, some fading may occur, but because the base metal (stainless steel) has a silver color, the hardware will turn silver, but never orange, green, or black. Slow down this process by being especially careful with exposure to water, perfumes, or lotions. With mindful care though, these pieces stay beautiful for years.

18K Gold-plated Brass

Some of our more delicate or unique designs may use gold-plated brass. While brass allows for more intricate shapes and finishes, it is less resistant to wear and may not be suitable for sensitive skin. These pieces are best worn occasionally, rather than daily, to preserve their beauty.

Zinc Alloy

Zinc alloy is used in some of our decorative elements, such as the liquid drop and wiggle drop components. While it's not as durable or hypoallergenic as stainless steel, it allows for more sculptural and detailed shapes that wouldn’t be possible with other materials. We use zinc alloy only for accents; not for parts that go through the ear.

Epoxy Resin

I use a premium 2-part epoxy resin, known for its strength, clarity, and long-lasting quality. This type of resin cures to a hard, glass-like finish that securely preserves each flower inside. What sets it apart is its built-in UV-blocker, which helps prevent the yellowing that’s common in lower-quality resins.

While this resin is highly durable and resistant to discoloration, I still recommend storing your jewelry away from direct sunlight to keep it looking its best for years to come. Each piece is cast and finished by hand, ensuring a clear, vibrant result that truly protects the flowers inside.

UV Resin

UV resin is a fast-curing material that hardens within minutes under a UV lamp. I use this resin specifically for securing flowers in rings, where quick setting is essential to maintain the correct shape and placement.

While UV resin is convenient and efficient, it’s not as hard or long-lasting as the 2-part resin I use for other pieces. It’s more prone to yellowing over time, which is why I never use it to create full pieces. Instead, it’s reserved for small, detailed applications where speed is key and the amount used is minimal.

Glossy Sealer

Glossy Sealer is a clear, brush-on coating I sometimes apply when a piece comes out of the mold with a slightly matte or uneven finish. It helps restore a smooth, glassy shine and enhances the clarity of the resin.

Though I only use it when needed, it’s a great way to give certain pieces an extra polished look without altering their structure or durability.
